Forum Rules and Guidelines

You must be at least 13 years old to join the Steedhunters forum
Unfortunately you must be at least 13 years old to join the Steedhunters forum. Those under this age are still welcome to browse the website under the supervision of a parent or guardian, however are not allowed to make an account.
If we have reason to believe a user is under 13 years of age, we reserve the right to suspend their account and/or request verification of age.

Don't be a dickhead
We are an inclusive and accepting community, and therefore insulting, derogatory, discriminative, intimidating, threatening, rude or otherwise inappropriate behaviour that may cause upset or distress to other members is not acceptable.
Some people will have different opinions than you, and you should respect that. Try to keep criticism somewhat constructive, yeah?

Don't post NSFW, explicit or adult content
Now, we don't judge, and quite frankly couldn't care if you enjoy rubbing one out to coloured horses or whatever, but we understand that a lot of people aren't here for that, and therefore inappropriate content is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, gore, grim-dark, shocking or upsetting content in any shape or form, including linking to such content or hiding it within [spoiler] tags.
Appropriateness of content is decided at the discretion of the moderation team.

Try to avoid swearing where you can, please?
Swearing isn't a forbidden fruit here, but we'd like it if you keep it to a minimum, particularly certain words. Swearing is strictly prohibited in topic titles and tags, and racial or other derogatory terms against other members, groups, or other entities with the intention of slandering are more or less prohibited. Some of our staff are British, and will be a bit more lenient with regards to swearing as banter. Our staff will also be more than happy to issue warnings and replace certain words with much more obscure, acceptable words such as "Piano" or "Badger"

Write in proper, legible English. Or at least attempt to.
While we appreciate members from across the globe, please remember that you are on an English-speaking forum run by English-speaking staff. This poses a problem when we cannot moderate content that we cannot read, although some of our staff can speak other languages, not all of them can. In some cases foreign language quotes are acceptable though. We don't demand perfect grammar, but you should at least try to punctuate, capitalise, space, and spell properly. It just makes things easier for everyone, and our staff will appreciate it.

Don't post or link to copyrighted material
You should not post or link to content which breaches the intellectual property rights or infringes upon the copyrights of another person or organisation, or encourages another to engage in such activities. This includes discussion of the file-sharing or pirating of copyrighted materials.
This means that you should not link to full episodes, as these are the property of Hasbro. You may post short clips of copyrighted materials where this is justifiable as fair use.
Appropriateness of content is decided at the discretion of the moderation team.

Don't discuss illegal activities
This is not the place to discuss activities which are illegal, such as street racing, speeding, controlled substance abuse, etc.
Appropriateness of content is decided at the discretion of the moderation team.

Never nark on nobody
That's a double negative. If you see someone breaking the rules, please make sure that you report the post or message in which they are doing so. The offender won't find out who has reported them and this will allow the moderation team to deal with the issue swiftly and effectively.

One account per person
You must only create one account for yourself. Should you wish to use a different display name, you are able to change this yourself at any point.
You must not share your account or register additional accounts for role-play personae or alternate identities.
If you would like an account to represent a group or organisation, please contact an administrator beforehand.

Our staff are here to help you!
Remember that our staff are here to enforce these rules and maintain a safe, friendly community for the benefit and enjoyment of all members. In most cases, staff will make informed judgements and take actions based on prior discussion of issues reported to them through the appropriate channels.
In the unlikely event that you have an issue with any member of staff, we strongly encourage you contact an administrator directly to discuss this.
If you have any doubts as to whether or not something you wish to post is acceptable for the site, you should always ask a member of staff beforehand for their opinion.

No backseat driving
If you're not a moderator, don't act like one. If you see trouble, report it and get on with your day. This ranges from calling out someone else for violating the rules to telling people that their thread is a duplicate. If you take matters into your own hands, the problem will still be there, at best; at worst, you'll exacerbate the issue. The moderation will deal with it - that's their job, not yours.
